"I want to hold you"

My little 2 year old - going on 5 has started this thing - she will come up to me and say " I want to hold you" this is all backwards...what she wants is to be held by me.

Can't help thinking that God must have the same look when we look to him and say "I want to hold you"  I want my genie in a bottle to command and have things better - everything mine...but he knows our needs and wants.  And we must look funny complaining we want to hold Him.  But we do...we what to be able to do stuff - for the God that has it all.  We what to be " look at me" , "I did this" but the reality is we are but deadman.  Even the life we live is only by his will, and Law is given and completed by him...His Promise to us - Christ on the Cross For You!!!
